Don 2 is the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster, Don, starring Shahrukh Khan. The screenplay was written by Aditya Chopra, Jaideep Sahni and Abhijat Joshi. Jugal Hansraj was director of photography. Sajid-Wajid composed the songs for this film. Principal photography began in March 2010 with Khan himself working as assistant director on this movie to save time since he usually shoots back-to-back films. Director Kabir Khan explained that the film would be "a lot more edgy" than its predecessor, but still family friendly with songs to please his father's fans. The film was released worldwide on 23 December 2011. The third schedule of shooting was scheduled to take place in the United States, where action sequences would be filmed at Philadelphia's Franklin Institute. Similarly, one song sequence was filmed in Colombia. Khan shot for the film in Dubai for about 15 days, where one scene required him to wear a jet pack. According to director Kabir Khan, "Don 2" is an adventure thriller based on theft and greed. It will also deal with issues like terrorism and face blindness (prosopagnosia). Music director duo Sajid and Wajid say their songs in "Don 2" were inspired by the international market and the film's theme. The film's trailer was released on 17 November 2011. The first look poster was also released for the film on 1 November 2011. The official logo was unveiled on 25 November 2011. A 3D version of Kaali model of the Bajaj Finserv ATM has been released by J&K Bank Limited, which can be seen in a car chase sequence of this film. The Bajaj Finserv ATM is also seen in "Don 2". On 17 November 2012, "Don 2" was rated "U/A" by the Central Board of Film Certification with a duration of 142 minutes.The film's music is composed by Sajid–Wajid. The lyrics are penned by Atif Aslam, Asad Qamar, Bilal Saeed Akhtar and Sheikh Chiragh Ali. The soundtrack album has 6 tracks and has been released on 26 December 2011 under the label T-Series. The film received a "UA" certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification on 17 November 2012. During pre-release hype, a special screening was arranged for the students of a school in Mumbai on 21 November 2011. Before that, a first look teaser trailer of the film was shown to them and they were asked to write an essay about their experience. Their reactions were then uploaded onto YouTube.
